There you will find Erandur, who will start the quest after talking with him about the people in Dawnstar. He will then walk you to nearby tower, Nightcaller Temple, where the rest of the quest takes place. At the end of the quest you will have to choose: either kill Erandur and get the Skull of Corruption; or let Erandur finish his ritual and destroy the Skull of Corruption. - killing Erandur and getting the staff will work towards the Oblivion Walker achievement. - letting Erandur to destroy the Skull of Corruption will result in him becoming available as a follower, but wont work for the achievement. !!This should be noted: if you dont get the Skull of Corruption, you wont be able to get the achievement. I consider the staff being worthless. It deals little damage and getting the damage a bit higher requires running around and capturing dreams. I recommend getting it only for the achievement and then storing it away.
