Колубарска битка или Сувоборска битка је најзначајнија битка између војске Краљевине Србије и Аустроугарске у Првом светском рату. Вођена је у новембру и децембру 1914. године на фронту од преко 200 km. Окончана је успешном противофанзивом коју су извеле снаге Прве армије под командом генерала Живојина Мишића, против бројније и боље опремљене аустроугарске војске, у тренутку када је цео свет очекивао вести о капитулацији Краљевине Србије. Поразом у операцијама око Дрине (Битка на Мачковом Камену), српска војска се нашла у тешком положају приморана на повлачење под борбом, суочена са недостатком артиљеријске муниције, мањком хране, одеће и обуће и што је можда било и најгоре са великим падом морала. Паралелно са војском пред зверствима аустроугарске војске повлачио се и народ који је додатно отежавао повлачење. Многи српски војници који су били из области које је заузела аустроугарска војска напуштали су своје јединице да би сместили своје породице на сигурно, након чега су се враћали, што је још више пољуљало морал српске војске. Све ове чињенице јасно су указивале да је српска војска и сама Краљевина Србија пред пропашћу и да нема могућности ни да се аустроугарско напредовање заустави, а камоли да се крене у противнапад. Додатни терет представљало је и време, које је додатно онеспособило кретање по блатњавим путевима западне Србије и које ће се показати као један од најбољих савезника српске војске, мада је већи део српске војске био мокар до голе коже, због мањка ... The music was written by Aaron Copland, the lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and the cinematography was by James Wong Howe. The film also marked the debut of Farley Granger. The film is about the resistance of Ukrainian villagers, through guerrilla tactics, against the German invaders of Ukraine. The film was an unabashedly pro-Soviet propaganda film at the height of the war. In the 1950s it was criticised for this reason and it was recut to remove the idealized portrayal of Soviet collective farms at the beginning and to include references to the 1956 Hungarian Uprising. In June 1941 Ukrainian villagers are living in peace. As the schools break up for vacation, a group of friends decide to travel to Kiev for a holiday. To their horror they find themselves attacked by German aircraft, part of the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union. Eventually their village itself is occupied by the Nazis. Meanwhile men and women take to the hills to form partisan militias. The full brutality of the Nazis is revealed when a German doctor (Erich von Stroheim) uses the village children as a source of blood for transfusions into wounded German soldiers. Covert operations aim to fulfill their mission objectives without any parties knowing who sponsored or carried out the operation. It is normally sponsored by taxes from the government. Under United States law, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is the sole US Government agency legally allowed to carry out Covert Action. The CIA's authority to conduct Covert Action comes from the National Security Act of 1947. President Ronald Reagan issued Executive Order 12333 titled in 1984. This order defined covert action as "special activities", both political and military, that the US Government could legally deny. The CIA was also designated as the sole authority under the 1991 Intelligence Authorization Act and in Title 50 of the United States Code Section 413(e). The CIA must have a "Presidential Finding" issued by the President of the United States in order to conduct these activities under the Hughes-Ryan amendment to the 1991 Intelligence Authorization Act. These findings are then monitored by the oversight committees in both the US Senate and the House of Representatives.
