This is life changing for me. I think I've always had the ability but never the understanding to really sing properly. Decided to check this out because yesterday my wife said "people who are good with accents are generally great at singing" - and I was like, "I'm a natural mimic. I can copy ANYBODY's voice. So why can't I sing?" The answer: nobody ever told me HOW. Thank you Eric :)

I used to be in the ...

I used to be in the same boat. I always used to sing with my head voice only. What I did was just kept practicing in chest voice until it became stronger, but make sure u keep your chest and head voices balanced, because I noticed when I started to sing with chest all the time I lost some of my head voice and you don't want that to happen! When you've mastered chest make sure you strengthen your mix which is the break between chest and head. Mix is very important.

Maybe you are trying to pull up too much chest voice and you are not blending...try to find your mix voice so you can get the high notes...
