Even thought there is cultural history for that, it is required we study it even though we're not students of cultural history, just as we need to study common history and ancient languages. Alongside all of this it's also required to study history of art.

I don't know how it's called on English, but when you do the diggings you have historic layers, you can see how old something is thanks to these layers.
